Townsville – home to the Mater Hospital Pimlico and Mater Women’s and Children’s Hospital Hyde Park campuses - is situated on the Queensland coast about 1300km north of Brisbane and 350km south of Cairns. University partnerships

Mater Health Services North Queensland is a tertiary teaching hospital. In partnership with local universities clinical placements are offered for nursing, medical, occupational therapy and physiotherapy students.

Registered Nurse Graduates participate in a Graduate year Articulation Program delivered jointly by Mater Health Services North Queensland and JCU providing the framework for transition into a post graduate certificate in Advanced Nursing Practice.

Clinical placements are also available for TAFE students undertaking enrolled nursing studies.
