Dr Swetha Rangaswamaiah

Biography and Clinical interests

Dr Swetha Rangaswamaiah is a Consultant Endocrinologist providing outpatient care at the Mater Private Clinic. She also works as Consultant Endocrinologist at the Townville University Hospital and a lecturer in James Cook University. She has an active interest in research, training and education.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery in India and completed her post graduation training mainly in Queensland.She has experience in all areas of endocrinology including managing patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, pituitary disorders and adrenal disorders including post pituitary surgery, thyroid surgery and adrenal surgery. 

She has a special interest in diabetes, Obesity, thyroid disease, osteoporosis and adrenal disorders.

She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia, US Endocrine Society, the Australian Diabetes Society, National Association of Clinical Obesity Services, Austalian and New Zealand Bone Mineral Society.
