If you have advance notice of your Hospital admission, planning your trip will help to make sure you get there on time, and get home again without delay.
How you get to and from Hospital will depend on your condition and where you live.

If you are being dropped off to Hospital, please proceed to the boom gate and advise the operator who will take you directly to the front Admissions Office.
Townsville Taxis are available to provide you with door-to-door service. You are able to make your booking online or by calling 131 008. If you require a wheelchair taxi, please request this on booking.
Patients utilising the Uber service can be dropped off or picked up from the main entrances of both Hospital Campuses (Pimlico and Hyde Park).
Both Campuses are accessible by Sunbus. You can access the timetables for bus services on the Sunbus Website.
The Townsville Community Flyer offers a door-to-door transport service. The service has been developed for seniors who are unable to get to their appointments, due to lack of transport. The program also supports disabled/disadvantaged people who have difficulty using public transport.
The TOTTS Community Flyer can also take you to the Hospital for your general health needs, including:
- Outpatient appointments
- Doctor visits
- Specialist visits
- X-rays
- Visiting friends and family
