Parking at Mater
A new multi-storey carpark is being constructed on the Pimlico Hospital site to increase parking at the campus for patients, visitors, staff and doctors by creating an extra 400 spaces.
The project is part of the Mater Private Hospital Townsville $100m Master Plan to improve healthcare services for the community.
Construction of the car park is expected to be completed by May 2022, however, during the building phase of the project parking spaces will be significantly reduced and there will be traffic flow measures in place in the streets surrounding the hospital.
Limited parking for patients and visitors is available at the Mercy Centre, however, we are suggesting people consider alternative transport options to the hospital, including using the Drop Off and Pick Up Zones in the Mercy Centre for appointments and admissions.
Mater volunteers can help patients requiring wheelchair assistance.
We apologise for the inconvenience this construction may cause and ask for your patience as we work hard to ensure visits to Mater are as stress-free as possible.
